System & Device Requirements

To ensure a smooth experience with EdfaPay SoftPOS, merchants must meet the following system and device requirements. These requirements ensure compatibility, reliability, and secure transaction processing.

Supported Operating System

• Android 9 or higher is required.
• Devices must have access to the Google Play Store for updates.
• Regular system updates are strongly recommended for performance and security

Device Requirements

• NFC Support : The device must support Near Field Communication (NFC) to accept contactless card payments.
• Camera: A rear camera is required for QR code payment acceptance.
• RAM: Minimum of 3 GB RAM for stable app performance.
• Processor: ARM-based processor with at least 1.8 GHz.
• Storage: At least 200 MB free storage space for the application and its data.

Connectivity

• Internet Access: A stable 4G/5G mobile data connection or Wi-Fi network is required.
• Secure Network: Public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks are discouraged.

Additional Requirements

• Google Play Services must be available and up to date.
• The device should not be **rooted **or jailbroken, as this compromises security.
• A valid Google Account is required to download and update the application from the Play Store.
